Yes! Quaker Digital Academy is an Ohio public school. There is no cost to apply, and tuition is free for Ohio school-aged students.
Yes. Quaker Digital Academy is approved by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for statewide enrollment.
Yes. Students are provided a Chromebook or they may use a personal device.
While QDA does not provide Internet Service families can receive up to $40/month for Internet reimbursement during the school year.
Students in grades 6-12 can access their coursework 24/7 throughout the school year. Students in grades K-5 will have access to live instruction sessions Tuesday-Thursday.
At QDA, our courses are designed to be self paced. Students will receive instructional content in various forms like video, audio, and text.
At QDA, students are assigned an Instructional Supervisor. An Instructional Supervisor (IS) is the point of contact for the student and their family. The IS is responsible for monitoring student progress, attendance, keeping families informed of school events, and being available to answer questions.
In addition to having an IS; students have access to tutoring services, school counselors, title services, technical support, and the office staff.
Our goal is find the most convenient channel for communication. We communicate via phone, email, text messages, video conferencing or in-person based on the families preference.
Parents and guardians can log into our Maestro Student Information System with their credentials to see their student's academic and attendance progress. We also provide weekly progress reports throughout the school year.
Yes! We offer field trips throughout the year throughout the State of Ohio.
We adhere to the state mandates, such as state testing, graduation requirements, and our curriculum follows the Ohio Learning Standards.
Yes! Students can earn a high school diploma from Quaker Digital Academy by completing all requirements for graduation.
Yes! Students are issued a high school diploma as soon as they have met all requirements for graduation.
Yes! All graduates have the opportunity to participate in our graduation ceremony.
The Military recognizes a diploma from QDA the same as a diploma from any traditional school. Students are encouraged to speak with a local recruiter if they are interested in the Military.
At this time, Ohio State Tests must be taken at a proctored test sites. We offer testing locations within 50 miles of the student's address.
Yes! QDA students can attend a career center for their labs and take their core courses with QDA. QDA also offers career pathways like welding and electrical as well.
Students that submitted a college credit plus program intent form and have been accepted to take university courses may take college courses.
No, QDA is a non-profit public online school and do not have any religious affiliation.
Yes! At QDA, students can set their own class schedule (as long as they meet minimum attendance requirements). Please contact the office to obtain a work permit if applicable.
